      Pros

      They really take a personal affection to their employees. Always have an open door policy and they really engourage and help you out if you are trying to move up within the company.

      Cons

      Not sure there is any. It is a good company. The only thing is that they do pay a little less than most companies, but they make up for it in the benefits that you get.

      Pros

      Marriott is the cream of the crop in it's industry. Great benefits and "total compensation". Top performers are given autonomy and leeway without too much micromanagement. Good balance between work and personal life. Gave me opportunities to travel and live in some great locations throughout the U.S. I always felt appreciated and respected by management and my peers.

      Cons

      Marriott and most other companies in this industry have halted any new development or growth. It is currently spinning of its timeshare component into a separate company. It isn't so much an issue right now with Marriott specifically, more with the industry as a whole in tough economic times.
