      Pros

      great benefits but most of all the staff is great to work with and of course it is a hospitality environment therefore you end up creating a very home away from home type environment with alot of the associates you work with. Marriott aswell offers great discounts on rooms and on food and beverage. They even offer free rooms at a certain point of time during the year and they also offer special rates for your friends and family. THe beds are very comfortable. The customer service is amazing.

      Pros

      Hotel atmosphere is interesting and work is varied.

      Cons

      One should decide whether they want to spend their career catering to others hand and foot, as it is certainly expected by hotel guests. Marriott is a successful company, however they own relatively few of the hotels they operate. The diverse third party ownership leads to a lack of standardization from hotel to hotel, so policies tend to differ based on location.

      Pros

      Everyone that you work with is very friendly and really wants you to succeed at Marriott. Management is very nurturing and understanding. It's a great place to not only start your career but end it. It is not uncommon for employees to have worked at Marriott for 20+ years.

      Cons

      Most of the employees are a little bit older - so if you're fresh out of college, it is difficult to make friends at work that you can relate to.
