Pros

If he/she wants to work in the Hospitality business this is a good start to be. There is ample entry level opportunities. The benefit are very good even for non union workers in some cases even better because dental and vision benefits are better than union workers. Usually there is free lunch or dinner at most full service hotels too.

Cons

Lack of training and growth, when there is a recession it can really be a problem because morale goes down and so does productively with workers. Sometimes union/management problems can arise which is a distraction.

Pros

Very good benefits. A lot of extremely nice co-workers. The travel benefits are the best reason to work here.

Cons

No room for advancement within the same property. You have to go to other properties in order to advance. Career advancement can take years. Hard to get any time off if you are in a busy property.
