Excellent Experience, very recommendable company

I’ve been working in MS for almost 6 years. Thanks to this experience, I was able to develop a great variety of skills. I feel fortunate to have the opportunity to work for top clients (in my case in the financial industry, with top banks globally), in international projects, with teams of great human qualities and professionalism. The projects are demanding, but it’s worth it, it’s a company where you feel valued, you feel that you’re not just a number. You are listened through the continuous mentoring programs. The work environment is really good and there are many initiatives (sports, charity, parties). The reality is that every project is demanding. In my case, working like that, exceeding the client expectations, with constant challenges, looking for excellent quality, has been a good fit for me. If financial consulting is really the area where you want to develop your career, my opinion is that MS is the best opportunity in the market. Most of the projects I’ve participated in have been current relevant topics. Evidently, some of the projects are more interesting than others, but the good thing is that you switch from one to another, so the learning curve is exponential. On top of that, they invest a lot on training, not only at the beginning but also throughout your whole career. I had the opportunity to lead a team from very early on, it was one of the tasks I’ve enjoyed most, together with the exceptional professionalism of the bosses I’ve had and the relevance of the clients I’ve worked with.
Cons
You should be conscious of what working in consultancy means. MS is characterized by putting the client above everything, which means being at their disposal always and accommodating all their needs. This context translates into a lot of work and dedication. Even though the return in terms of learning is well above average, including promotions and constant growth, if you don’t count on this effort from the start, the situation might be overwhelming. In my case, I like working with constant challenges, but certainly there are people who don’t fit in because they don’t want to be so passionate about their job.
