      Good place to start your career but toxic working environment

      Pros

      The Medical Writing team is big and you get to work with people from all over the world, mostly the USA. MSD is a huge multinational and it's interesting to learn how this company works.

      Cons

      People were not happy there, they said only people that were friends with the managers got promoted. There were people that had been in the same position for 5 years with promises to have advancements in their careers but this didn't happen. Problems always got escalated.

      Pros

      Great purpose - saving human lives is really fantastic and I can connect to this theme with my daily work. There's generous availability of learning and practicing experience of learned knowledge, and the technology used is top notch. Budget used to be no issue, getting a bit tougher last years.

      Cons

      Corporate environment, lots of politics, some bosses that require total loyalty and no possibility to voice things that are done badly or that don't make sense. Many aspirants for such positions are able to do literally anything to succeed.
