Pros
MSD is an enterprise that gives you sense of purpose. Work environment, company ethics, compensation and long term careeer perspectives are great. There is access to all kinds of cutting edge technology, interesting projects and many smart people to work with.
Cons
For all the good that company gives, it also takes. Work/life balance is difficult to maintain, even though everyone from senior management stresses importance of it. If you are high performer, you get more work as a reward. On the technology front there is a large legacy footprint that company is trying to get rid of, but it is slow process.
