Terrible regulatory team
Pros
Good career progression once you leave the team
Cons
The regulatory team has a very high turnover, and in my experience this is not primarily due to workload, as is often suggested internally. The real issue is the team culture and leadership dynamics. There is a small, tight-knit group within the team who operate as a clique. They strongly protect one another, are rarely held accountable, and this creates an environment where concerns are dismissed rather than addressed. This leads to inconsistent expectations and a lack of psychological safety for those outside that group. As a result, feedback does not flow upward, issues repeat, and people quietly leave rather than escalate problems. This team’s reputation is well known within the industry, and the negative perception is not accidental.
