Pros

Insanely talented artists and developers at all levels and departments. Plenty of really cool people to meet, and most people are really helpful. Beer o'clock on fridays, all the free coffee you can handle, free breakfast every morning, the studio is in a great location.

Cons

Senior management and production have absolutely no idea what goes on in the departments. They make ridiculously tight schedules and make promises to the clients that the artists have to keep and their attitude is basically "Well it's your problem now. Figure it out" while having no knowledge of what anything entails. You're basically just a number on a spreadsheet. Pay is absolute trash

Pros

- As a junior, it's a good experience to work on movies and see the "backstage". - Free breakfast and drinks - People working there are really nice

Cons

- Poor pay if you don't know how to sell yourself - Everything is broken all the time, you loose so much time waiting things to get fixed by other departments. - As a lighting artist, I spent more time writing emails about the breaking stuff than doing actual lighting. - Huge turnover

Pros

-It's paid work -People are generally nice/Friendly working environment. -Department hasn't yet moved to India.

Cons

Inadequate pipeline and infrastructure. Low memory workstations make working on complex shots unnecessarily difficult. The majority of your time as an artist/TD is spent troubleshooting random errors or inacting workarounds to solve issues caused by the poorly implemented and ill-conceived fx pipeline and tools or by limitations of the general infrastructure (latency/bandwidth, disk space etc.). Suggestions from TD's to make improvements to tools and workflows are flatly ignored, even ones which are very minor and quick/simple to implement - these are brushed aside with the generic response from management- essentially 'we know the pipeline sucks but we plan to improve it some day'. This leads to a culture of people just sticking to 'tried and tested' workarounds, however inefficient they are. Also a lot of people have little previous industry experience, including ones in senior/lead positions, which generally causes more problems than it solves. These combined issues means the quality of the work suffers - don't expect many decent reel shots, as generally your work will be butchered downstream by inexperienced artists.
