Pros

All roles work to improve people's lives, making a difference Real investment in personal growth, training and development available Open to flexible ways of working Change is embraced Focus on cross team working Excellent benefits - pension, life cover, enhanced holidays, health cash plan, subsidised gym membership , great office facilities, fresh fruit deliveries

Cons

A lower headcount in the UK means internal role progression may mean looking to move internationally (although flexibility in roles / tasks mean you can influence your own career path)

Pros

Chilled environment and nice colleagues. Perfect if your only goal is getting your salary at the end of the month.

Cons

The company is not able to handle such a fast growth in a short period of time. Nevertheless, if you want to get a career, forget about it. NO BETRIEBSRAT: by law, all the companies with more than 50 employees need to have a union of workers that defends the employees' rights, Medel does not have it. Horrible HR, their role is to negotiate your (low) salary and defend the company and its management. This means that abuse of power, workplace bullying and general harassment do not exist, you get fired for REPORTING that. Micromanagement over the top, the CEO has to approve even the small little things and encourages teams and groups to compete against each other on the same projects. This means that several teams can work on the same things without sharing any information, so they end up in a conflict, being afraid of getting fired if they "lose" the competition. The only one that loses is the company, that doesn't get the value that it could get if these people would join forces instead of repeating each other's mistakes in such a political environment.
