Pros

The company has the potential to be a strong global player in the hearing implant field. Cutting-edge technology and innovative products in global.

Cons

Extremely toxic management in the Turkey office, with a culture of intimidation and emotional abuse. Serious mobbing issues; my predecessor was fired after only 1.5 years, and my manager even proudly described verbally abusing them. Bullying happens behind closed doors; the manager acts friendly in public but isolates employees for harsh treatment. No job description or clear performance goals were provided for over a year, despite HR's repeated requests. Salary and bonuses were not paid as promised in writing; asking about them led to threats of reporting me to upper management. Feedback was rarely given, and even high-quality work was never acknowledged or concluded properly. I was accused of having poor performance near the end without any prior feedback or guidance. Despite my 10+ years of experience (particularly in cochlear implants), I was paid extremely poorly—seven times less than what I earned at a competitor six years ago. Requests for clarification or improvement were met with accusations of being disrespectful. A highly damaging work environment—completely unsuitable for anyone who values their mental health.

Are you looking to fill a chair? Looking to be set up to fail? Do you like being lied to? If you answered "yes" then Med-El is the home for you! You can enjoy the finest high levels of micromanagement and only the most incompetent of leadership! Enjoy weekly huddles that largely revolve around sales stats which isn't even your department or in your control at all! Have laughs with patients as they call in saying they can barely hear so you have to violate HIPPA yelling at them so loud other callers on other people's phones hear you! "But wait," you say, "that can't be all." Well good news; there's more! You can be sacked for not being trained properly by leadership's own admission because their trainer doesn't even know what they're doing. And if you enjoy your coworkers and even leaders acting provocative on the job then come on down! And all this can be yours for a month of interviews! Yes, you read right; just 1 month of interviews! Pros

Friendly people, challenging work, important mission. US headquarters is a beautiful building. Dedicated teams/departments working together to bring hearing to hearing-impaired adults and children through advanced technology. Management cares about the company culture.

Cons

No real downside to working here. Compensation and benefits for the geographical area are competitive, but could be a bit better.
