Pros

- get to work on cool applications such as space robotics for human spaceflight, planetary rovers, scientific instruments

Cons

- a dearth of actual interesting technical work and opportunity to innovate. A lot of paperwork, needlessly complex processes and procedures. - Pay is not competitive. Some "passion exploitation" where the company knows they can pay an employee less than market rates for the "privilege" of working in the space sector - the commute is terrible and the company enforces a strict 3-day in-office policy where you don't get to choose which days are on site, defeating the purpose of a hybrid schedule (which is to select in-office days around your life)

Pros

Unionized for engineering staff. This is great to understand the salary ranges of your peers. However for new hires make sure you understand the contract is minimums and you can request more. MDA is a great place to work with great people. The work is new and exciting and it is competitive to find employment here however don’t take less just for the work. Make sure you ask for what you are worth.

Cons

Current processes are outdated and need to be rewritten. This is delayed due to the rapid growth of engineering,
