      Interesting, challenging, low-paying

      Pros

      The work is challenging and interesting. There are plenty of opportunities to find your niche and pursue what interests you most, and the people (right up to senior management) are approachable and seem to be interested in the success of the employees.

      Cons

      The pay is not really competitive when compared with similar work in the industry and in the region. Too bad, because there isn't too much else to complain about.

      Pros

      - space and defense is an interesting area work in - well structured and defined work packages - great team of people for the most part - flex time is nice to have (work 35 hours one week, 45 hours the next, etc.)

      Cons

      - not sure if it's a growing sector of the economy - work packages can be too structured and defined (less room for creativity) - salaries are a bit lower than elsewhere

      Pros

      - flexible work hours, were accommodating when I wanted to shuffle days after having babies. - excellent fitness opportunities including gym/studio, classes, and summer volleyball - proper offices for the most part but usually shared - relaxed work environment - interesting projects, good engineers

      Cons

      - salary very poor - feedback yes . . recognition no. - promotions depend highly on being in the right place at the right time, with the right manager - cafeteria isn't so great - big parking issues, overflow is a mile away - long hallways and full offices make for very little natural light throughout the building
