Approach Carefully

Pros

Opportunities to move up within the company.

Cons

You work weekends and the pay is absolutely terrible for the amount of work that you have to do, no matter what level you are in the company. The pay is honestly laughable. You also have a gamble at upper management. You can have a great boss as an RVP, or you could have one that would watch you drown.

Decent pay, nothing else

Pros

- Matching 401K (up to 5%) - 2 Weeks of Vacation along with sick time (Starting) - Decent Health Insurance - 20% Rent Discount

Cons

- Tasks eventually become mundane & boring - Residents will always try to go above you to get their way (be prepared for this) - heavy reliance on your team to do a great job ( bad maintenance team = bad leasing / living experience)

Pros

Great software compared to others, great benefits, awesome 401k match, best pto game in the industry. Great policy reference and forms.

Cons

Terrible pay. Managers cut corners and weren’t always educated properly in landlord tenant law. Promotions are not earned by hard work, they are given to the people that ask the least amount of questions. If they have a policy that conflicts with the lease agreement or rvp/pm wishes, questioning it will put a target on your back. Was told to just “nod, smile and say yes”. Property a manger dispersed their own work to everyone else and frequently left early/came in late. You will be micromanaged to the point where you have to ask permission to do something basic or when to do it. If you get behind on your work, support isn’t offered, you are told “you need to work on time management” —which is impossible when you are not allowed to manage your own time. Witnessing the hiring of leasing consultants and assistant managers was like watching an interview for a ceo position yet the property managers they hire are better suited for low level retail positions.
