50% discount good bonus's if you hit your monthly target. christmas time you can earn up to 20% more on top of wage. Flexible with staff hours well my shop was. Friendly lots of freebies

Cons

Product knowledge!! soooooo much stuff to learn, can be quite daunting when you first start. Also Lush are massive on mystery shoppers, i think you have one a month. easy to tell who they are though when they start asking what makes the bath bombs fizz and where we source ingredients from. Hard work!! mentally tiring always have to be upbeat with customers. Not enough pay for the amount of knowledge you have to remember. expected to demo all the time and push for add on sales. they encourage you to pounce on customers, can be quite off putting. Cleaning! I think I cleaned more in the shop than I did my own home.

The Company is Great, some room for improvement

Pros

Great discount Fast-paced Get to meet lots of interesting people Unique products The company loves feed-back on products from the staff The company actively finds alternatives to animal testing and supports lots of charities Veggie and Vegan friendly

Cons

Nightmare at Christmas. As each store is individual if you have an issue that needs HR's help, not much is really done. No two stores are run the same, the customer service and products are but the management styles can be completely different. When I started you were given some products when they had a launch for free, this did not happen towards the end of my employment, you had to purchase them to be able to try them, but were supposed to be experts on how they worked when selling them to customers

50% discount and very accommodating staff. Lush are really paving the way forward in equality and diversity and although I didn't personally benefit from this, the staff and company policies are really generous. The work wasn't particularly stress full either - delivery days were busy and Christmas was pretty nightmarish but Jan - November, fine.

Cons

I was restricted on speaking to customers and actively told not to do so. That then went onto being told not to speak to other members of staff unless it's about the work. I felt like an unvalued cog, and the workload was made out to be far more stressful than it was - I had days so quiet that I cleaned out all the cabinets in the back and bleached them. Not part of job description, just something to do.
