Pros

Travel Benefits Great company brand International staff Free parking in Frankfurt Airport Rather good mobility possibilities within the same level, for example in operative area (Airport staff) 20-25% discount in most restaurants at Frankfurt Airport

Cons

Low pay No cantine for shift workers (Airport staff) after 2pm and on weekends - have to buy expensive Airport restaurant food No equal access for company training Low chances of upward mobility, even with advanced degrees and motivation What matters is whom you know, not what you know

Pros

excellent company to work for, great airline, excellent job security. one of the worlds leading airlines in aircargo and passenger transportation. Excellent flight benifits. you feel like your part of a bigger picture

Cons

Local management needs help with thier people skills, like other German companies, they are 'matter of fact" and it is my opinion DLH could pay better and do a better job in promoting local dlh people.

Pros

Good working culture. Employees are diverse and from all over the world. Travel opportunities exist but can only be realized if you have the vacation time and money.

Cons

Benefits: with hire, 15 PTO days a year. Sick time is counted as part of this. Flight benefits are becoming more and more expensive. No complimentary upgrades. One must pay for each class of service when purchasing a standby ticket. Lufthansa's core team in the headquarters is quite old. Average age of employees is in the mid 40s or 50s. Those who have been with the company for a long time have accumulated good benefits which make it difficult to walk away. For new younger, new hires, the attrition rate is quite high as the pay is not that great, benefits are just OK, and there is a clear problem in terms of career development.
