Pros

Most people here are friendly, pay is slightly low for the field, working hours are fairly consistent.

Cons

Company has poor uniform standards where many messengers dangle their sidearms off cheap leather or Hot Topic stud belts instead of a properly built gun belt, ballistic vests are of poor build quality and the trainer/quartermaster is often slow or reluctant to replace them (also you cannot supply your own even if it surpasses their ballistic resistance criteria as outlined by the NIJ), if you cannot supply your own firearm for the job they will issue a very battered revolver that may or may not have a grip on it still in a holster that is barely holding itself together (one messenger went around with the only things holding his holster to his belt being an increasing number of rubber bands), vehicles are poorly maintained and often quite filthy, management structure is so subdivided between different roles and no one wears any distinctive badging or uniforms so understanding who is in charge of what can be very confusing, trainer perpetuates horrible myths and misinformation in regards to firearms and security tactics (even told my whole class about how he negligently discharged a gun into his bed by violating several firearms safety rules), and working conditions at base are wholly unsanitary with a noticeable odor that permeates the campus in the warmer months mostly coming from the seldom emptied window cleaner fluid buckets.

Thank you for your review. Loomis follows DoT laws, which does mandate breaks for drivers. Your claim of having no breaks is alarming to us and we will have our Human Resources team look into this issue.
