Pros

People care about other people, mostly. Sometimes work is exciting because of how valuable everything is and how we have to protect it.

Cons

Management doesn't support employees and doesn't listen to ideas from them. Lots of turnover in management. Rules change a lot.

Pros

Recession proof for full time employees. Benefits are good. Pay is more than that of competitors. (only company that is Union, competitor companies non-union)

Cons

Part timers are treated not equally with full timers. Although the Great Recession has hit us all, very poor management decisions have resulted in severe apathy among hourly employees. Union is invisible and not pro-active. Majority of management either will not support employees, are not qualified or have a severe power trip that needs to be addressed by a health care professional.

It is a consistent paycheck, although not very much. Management can be flexible with schedule if the employee gives enough advance notice.

Cons

Supervisor has no people skills. Management does a poor job of communicating changes, actually communication in all aspects is lacking.
