Pros

If you like working lots of hours and never knowing when you will get off work then this might be the place for you. Pay starts at about 12.50 her hour and tops out around 18.50. But, it will take a decade ( 10 years ) of your life to get to the top wage. They offer health insurance but raise the cost every year. Mine is going up $380 a year for the 2015 year and this is for insurance with NO CO-PAYMENT. First $2500 is out of pocket !!!

Cons

Most routes have a different start time every day and don't end until the work is done. If you have a family don't plan on having dinner with them at 6pm or being able to go to your kids after school events or being involved with their weekend sports . 10-14 hour shift are the norm and you will work weekends for years. The company increased the cost of Health Insurance every year which negates the .30 to .45 cent per hour annual raise you get. There are little to no opportunities to move up. Example...the ATM trainer earns just .25 cents an hour for training new employees on ATM Service.

Pros

Most of the groups under the same manager get along great and that what makes working there bearable. Allowed to work independently with little supervision as long as you didn't draw attention to your manager and that you gave the perception that you were a dedicated hard worker.

Cons

Don't expect any recognition for a job well done when you going above and beyond. I would sum up how most upper management acted like at Corporate. They liked to to give each other awards and pat themselves on the back. Every year at the company party management always made sure they gave each other raffle tickets for door prizes like airline tickets, sports tickets, gift cards and electronics and 75% of the time they won and would like to give each other kudos and made sure they rubbed it the faces of the so called less than desirable low class entry level workers that make 20-25 times less money than them. People would talk about managements behavior between themselves but really what could you do. Management has created a unique culture for themselves. To sum it up you have probably been in a situation and thought to yourself or maybe said to someone " it can't possible get any worse than this" Well at Loomis Corporate it always does.

Pros

They have branches throughout the US so you can transfer just about anywhere you want as long as the postilion is open. Also strong financials giving company great stability.

Cons

WAS a great company to work for. Cared about their people and was a great working environment with many opportunities to move up the ladder. In 2014 a new CEO/President took the helm for the US division. This is a company doing over 500 billion and profits of 500 million a year. The new CEO is ruthless monster with an ego the size of Texas. His rule has completely changed this company to the point that every employee is scared to death about whether they will have a job tomorrow. His personality regarding the company employees is driven by his lack of caring about the Loomis people. All he cares about is cutting cost no matter who it hurts and what it takes. This is all to make himself more money and make himself look better then the previous CEO. He is single handily destroying what was a great company. Be concerned if you apply, here today gone tomorrow with no reason other then to cut cost.
