Great place to work for someone who knows the right people.

Cons

There is a district manager who has hired his former colleagues and his family or friends for management positions while passing over very qualified internal candidates. Two candidates were brought in as route truck drivers and then were promoted to upper level mmanagement in as few as 7 days. Employees who have questioned these practices have been advised to think about whether or not Loomis is where you want to be. Sounds like a veiled threat to me.

Loomis provides good healthcare benefits for full-time workers and always treated me with respect despite my part-time status. The one time I asked for a raise they accommodated me.

Cons

As a part-time worker I was given few benefits (no paid vacation or sick leave) and several times they changed my pay-scale without informing me. I had to push for corrections to my paycheck. However, mine was a peculiar situation that would not apply to most salaried employees since I was transferred to their employ when Loomis purchased part of Pendum Inc.
