Pros

You can sample an insane amount of candy Great pay for part time, willing to bend with hours and help plan around your daily schedule Management plans ahead of time and will try to help you with anything

Cons

Not a lot of say in where things go or how things look, just in charge of cash register and making sure customers are happy.

Pros

50% discount on candy, often very kind customers, flexible schedules

Cons

I found this to be a stressful job, but I do not do well in busy retail environments in general. There is a lot of micromanagement that trickles down from the top. I despised the secret shopper reviews. The questions on them made it difficult for employees to get high marks, as specific phrases had to be said. We basically had a script for when talking to and giving tours to customers. While it can act as a helpful guide, if you're not an actor it can make for an awkward conversation. The uniform is a costume. If you have no shame talking to people in a bow tie and straw hat, more power to you . With free candy comes terrible stomach aches. Frequently employees would complain about feeling sick. While this is a matter of discipline, it is absolutely encouraged (and important) to know what you are selling, which means trying all of the candy.
