Recruited with promises of promotions, not only was I never given opportunity, in 2 years no one was promoted from within. They hire DM's that don't know what they are doing, but think they do

- Got to try a lot of candy - Met some good friends

- Turn over was incredibly high at my store (Lynnwood, WA, has since gotten a new manager) - CEO visited and instead of walking in, he walked by several times to scope us out before coming in - Back room was horrendously small

Pros

My store had some good management and coworkers, managers were generally pretty flexible about schedules, the better customers made my day, if there's an opening you can get promoted in less than a year, and it was fun sometimes.

Cons

Nowhere near enough hours, the music starts to drive you crazy after a few months, the pay was too low for how much was asked of us, promotions are given to the people nobody wants to work with, corporate makes some of the exact same mistakes as made in the economic planning of the USSR, the culture sometimes seems like a Victorian factory with confetti and glitter, and the prices are so high it's hard to sell anything (probably a consequence of mall rents being so high). There's also a lot of drama.
