Pros

Great pay, good benefits, excellent retirement and pension if you are lucky.

Cons

This environment is highly competitive and employs top candidates. In order to excel you have to be willing to do what others won't while increasing your value and knowledge within your area of expertise. I wish I had taken adavantage of their college internships when pursuing my BS. They also have a great Leadership Development program designed for those pursuing degrees while currently working. The experience and exposure you get while rotating through the various business units is priceless. All-in-all you get out what you put into it. If you are self-sufficient and willing to seek in order to find answers, this environment will surely challenge you in many different aspects of your career.

Pros

It’s a job Will look good on your CV

Cons

Every other Friday off doesn’t feel like a benefit at all, as your so tired from squeezing 10 days into 9 that by the time the Friday off comes around it hardly seems enjoyable. Don’t be fooled there is zero opportunity for any form of career progression even though your clearly and noticeably over qualified and have more intelligence than most you will be put down and never offered anything to keep your commitment alive. Salaries do not match skill sets at all and it’s a lower pay company, you will be given a lesser job title and paid the relevant salary but trust me you will be undertaking work way above your pay grade with hardly any gratitude. As a company they do not look after there own permanent staff are treated no differently from contractors or temp staff with very little difference in benefit, so it feels like it’s not worth working extra hard to achieve that permanent employee status. You are just a number to HR and senior management, they won’t even know your name.
