Pros

LM is a huge company that provides you with many avenues that you can pursue over your career. It also can provide you with travel, and meaningful skills that can be transfered to other jobs.

Cons

Some aspects still seem pretty political or alternate motive. Some management have large egos and feel the need to try and flew their "muscle".

Pros

Looks good on your resume Gets your feet wet if you are early in your career

Cons

Promotion from level 1 to level 2 takes like 2 years. From level 2 to 3 takes like 5 more years. Then expect no more promotion. You don't use anything you learned in school. Same boring mundane tasks. PAR reviews are a joke. There is a competition to see who can work the most overtime. A good-ol-boy military conservative baby-boomers culture that doesn't fit with younger generations. No excitement in your work. A monkey can probably do your job. People don't talk to you. No social life.

Pros

Diverse enviornment. Lots of opportunites for work in different business units. Extremely ethical and will not tolerate harassment or violence.

Cons

It appears that LM is top heavy with Baby Boomers getting ready for retirement and therefore there are no advancement opportunites. Most, if not all, career opportunities are for the younger 20 -30 year old folks. If you don't have a college degree, don't bother to apply. HR is a tool of managment and will protect the company at all costs.
