Lockheed will help pay for a Masters degree. Every other Friday is an optional work day, but the other days are 9 hour work days.

Cons

Salary growth is slow, upper management feels disconnected. Too sales oriented.

Pros

Culture varies greatly across sites, and even between projects. Good work life balance in most cases, relatively decent compensation, and the chance to work on some really interesting technology.

Cons

You're either working on something cutting edge or maintaining something 30 years old, and there's a culture clash there. Some projects can turn into death marches due to inexperienced project management. Career advancement is not very meritocratic, consisting of either mandatory promotions after a few years, or politics.

-Very interesting projects that make a difference for our military -Flexibile schedule -Nice locations and facilities -Easy to relocate to new places and new positions within the company

Cons

-Very large company so you may find yourself doing a small part on a big project, thus not able to see the whole development lifecycle of your project -Government involvement means a lot of paperwork and procedure -Defense contractor means no bonuses
