      Not As "World-Class" As I Would've Thought

      Pros

      -The people are usually friendly and helpful. Treat the operators with respect and they'll treat you with respect in turn -Learning experience -Generally, you'll move up quickly if you stay 2+yrs, since many people leave before then -Lots of potlucks -It's a job.

      Cons

      The Big Ones: -Low pay -Bad insurance plan ($1k deductible, $2k w/ only 20% met, and then finally coverage) -Quite a bit of "cost of doing business" transactions going on -Expected to work crazy overtime Smaller Deals -No where good to eat -Rumor-mill -Not much to do in the town

      Pros

      The salary and benefits are excellent. Very competitive. My offer was 25% higher than the other offers I received as a college new hire. The employees are great to work with and the work is very meaningful.

      Cons

      Slow promotion structure compared to many other companies. Rigid HR policy makes it difficult for high achievers to move quickly. Performance management not always handled well/indicative of actual performance.

      Pros

      Small team on my specific contract, good managerial direction, flexible schedule, easy leave policy. My manager lets me work on my own, and he isn't over my shoulder all the time.

      Cons

      Health care costs are ridiculously expensive for such a large company. High deductible plan, with no other options unless you're a veteran.
