Pros

Unique in it self as a market with a lot of history. A great place to learn with having visibility to various business models and ideas 59bn of written premium so significant in the world. I truly believe that 1 year working for Lloyd's it's equitable to 5 years of more in the insurance market in terms of professional experience, development and growth.

Cons

Although considerable progress has been made, to mention principle based approach to oversight as one, focusing on what matters there is still more that could be done to make the roles more commercially focused. i understand the difficulties with Lloyd's being a market place rather than an insurance company.

Pros

Lloyd's culture of inclusivity is present in everything we do. As an employee of the Corporation, there are a multitude of ERG's that one can engage with, as well as tackling important matters such as race equality at Lloyd's and within the market.

Cons

As a 334 year old establishment, turning the ship can be a slow process in terms of innovations. Lloyd's isn't exactly cutting edge, but we are adopting more agile processes to ensure we can do things quicker and slicker.

Pros

I had an amazing experience working at Lloyd’s. From my colleagues to my line managers and senior management team, everyone was supportive, inclusive, and encouraging. I felt at home within two months of joining the organization. The working culture is more casual than it appears from the outside, and people are friendly, cooperative, and encouraged to speak up and be brave.

Cons

Improvements are needed to make the organisation more process dependent as compare to person dependent.
