Lot attendant and other customer facing, non sales support roles
Pros
First and consistent sales manager I worked under is a friend to this day. Always opportunities to shine and get things done for management and coworkers. Tenured sales and support staff were great people to work with. Management gave me many opportunities to advance my career and fill unique roles.
Cons
I kept taking on additional duties and roles and received no pay compensation for it. Some of those roles included performing vehicle deliveries to customers instead of their salesperson- who would make more in commission on that one sale than I would make in a full day's work. I wanted a pay raise, had only gotten one for moving to another store to the tune of $0.50 to put me at $10.50 an hour. I was terminated without warning when being led to believe I was going to be discussing my roles, duties, and pay. Some unrealistic demands for time to completion of some tasks along with quality of work- higher quality work takes longer to complete. Sales and service management fought over me and demanded that I physically perform two tasks in opposite ends of the dealership at the same time because of my hybrid roles and duties.
