Pros

Decent Salary Benefits are OK - 401k not so much with a 5 year vesting schedule

Cons

* Paid Holidays were not honored at Corporate for 2021 Xmas or New Years Day (Red Flag 1 on day 1). * 2 weeks of PTO is very 1995. Be sure to ask for 3 week when negotiating. * Training was non-existent from Technology and Business. I guess we are supposed to just know how the system or business functions. * Teams didn't function as a unit, but more like individual pieces and everyone is moving the pawn in different directions. * Product Management doesn't know what that means. But, that isn't their fault when folks are put in roles w/o the experience to execute. * Mgt. uses staff to monitor and evaluate others. Fortunately, I did the person I was asked to evaluate a favor by taking the role. * Experience in field is not utilized unless it's a 911 * A stay in your lane environment vs. using individual strengths. Oh, unless you have an 'M' in your title. * Policy is tested on unexperienced staff to have it forced on teams with experience. Or, there is a need outside of control and everybody being the same. If you know Agile teams are not meassured against each other. Instead of controlling to create change, use the talents on your teams to grow and shape. * Benefits outside of the basics only applies if you're at Corporate * Not much diversity from the perspective of cultural differences * Opportunity and growth is conditional and based on your ability to follow orders vs. actually having the right experience to be put in the role.

Pros

Lithia is the biggest employer in Southern Oregon. It is a Fortune 300 company, which allows it to do some things that smaller companies cannot in the way of potential benefits and opportunities.

Cons

Directors and Vice Presidents have grown up with the organization and lack any type of knowledge outside of Lithia. (This is definitely not everyone.) It is like high school every day. If you are not part of their clique, you are shunned, shut down, and discarded. Your opinion and thoughts do not matter. One of the worst corporate experiences of my career. Overall management relies too much on acquisitions and does not pay attention to the current company. They are successful because of the acquisitions, not because they are good are running a business.

Pros

Health Insurance, 401K, steady job. Plentiful lower level jobs.

Cons

Long, long hours, often short staffed. Human Resources department is chronically inexperienced. It's difficult to find out if there are openings at the higher level positions. These positions are often filled without postings, similar to 'the old boy network'. Upper management often doesn't have a clue to the inner workings of the dealerships.
