Pros

Good benefits package, plenty of overtime, some good, hardworking people who care a lot. They grew fast which is good and bad - lots of opportunity but also lots of growing pains.

Cons

If you are not in the good old boys network you are not treated well, they move from crisis to crisis and never hold the right people accountable because they are part of the good old boy network, Italians can do no wrong so if you're not from Italy and the other guy is, forget it you will lose, new Philadelphia CEO talks about trust but allows managers to backstab.

Pros

Working in Aviation/Aerospace is exciting. The best part of my job is the pride you feel in seeing the finished product and showing it off to people when the opportunity presents itself. Some opportunity for travel if you find yourself in the right situation/department. They do have great medical & dental benefits.

Cons

No job rotation and career development opportunities are scarce. I personally came from another manufacturing environment; however, I did not have a great knowledge of Aviation. It would have been nice to have some type of orientation program that introduced an employee to the company and aviation/aerospace in general. Management takes forever to do anything because HR presence is non-existent & approval form our Italian brothers & sisters is always required.. Get your money when you are hired, because raises are non-existent. If you are a top performer, you may receive 3% per year. According to HR, the average raise for the company was 2% last year but I know many who received less. There is no merit based bonus structure. Poor work/life balance as there is no "work from home" option and the plant in Philadelphia has closed 1 time for a half day during my 4 years. Any employee who is not a Senior Manager or above has to clock in/out; even if they are salaried. No flexibility in doing 9 hours Mon-Thurs & leaving early on Friday.
