      Pros

      Plenty of opportunities for funded training (conferences/courses/mentoring) which should be considered with base salary. Where you work can be flexible (home/in-person) and colleagues up to lead engineer level are generally technical, approachable and cooperative.

      Cons

      Salary is below market rate for role. Very hard to get promoted even when you meet the competency matrix/PDM objectives/prepare a PDP for the role above. Will expect you to be doing the job of the role above at least 6-12 months before entertaining a conversation about promotion and even then the process of promotion is not transparent. Certain projects will demand long hours (with overtime-pay included) to compensate for poor/chaotic project planning.
