Pros

I worked in LA's biggest flagship showroom in London. Was very good friendly team and good management, the company provides very good on job trainings, which are included during working hours and follow up with support for those who desire progress in career, flexible shifts, lots to learn everyday about the business and people in general. Interesting and creative.

Cons

Low payments in relation to the brand position

Pros

Sample sale. The majority of people are really nice and support each other. Walk in at 9 and leave at 5, you can coast through work and no one will ever notice (people have been known to get through reading whole books with their spare time).

Cons

Head Office building is run down, freezing in the winter and like a greenhouse in the summer. Nothing is ever done to combat the problem. We do however get regular emails from HR about covering computers or electricals because of the leaky roof and heavy rain! No originality, everything is copied from elsewhere, we’re supposed to be a heritage brand but no one knows anything about it or uses it to any advantage. Not allowed to question anything, opinions result in angry faces and negative consequences, you can only nod and say yes. Staff morale is horrendously low, thieving is rife even amongst the upper level managers, but the lower tiers are the only people that face punishement, and everyone openly talks about finding other jobs, even helping each other with their search. Decisions made defy logic, money is spent like water on ridiculous things, but can’t be found for salaries or sick pay. We also don’t close over Xmas, no one does any work in this time period but we have to be in the building. And don’t even think about leaving early, the pesky COO has nothing better to do than stalk the corridors to make sure there’s no Xmas cheer! Company will be closing down soon the rate that it’s going so don’t expect long term employment, most people are only there out of desperation or apathy.
