Pros
1. Good exposure to luxury brands/market with attractive staff discounts time to time. It is easier to get noticed in your job search once you have a luxury brand under your portfolio. 2. Work-life balance is pretty reasonable and less toxic in general compared to other MNCs.
Cons
1. Nationalism It is very challenging for locals to climb the corporate ladder as most managers or sometimes even executive roles are prioritised / reserved for French. 2. No Clear Progression That said in #1, no clear career planning with HR or management. Being non-french is seen as a hindrance for any progression. 3. Lack of Transparency in HR HR is relatively powerless when it comes to work place bullying. Management tend to abuse their power to cohere employees and threaten with poor performance. 4. Toxic & Insensitive Bosses - Was on 3 day sick leave but was called back on the second day to settle some admin/ops issues that the boss was too lazy to address. - Boss would expect you to OT everyday and made snark remarks shall you leave on time. It isn’t a healthy culture if one were to fear for their job safety simply just by leaving on time.
