Pros

Easy tasks Fair Wage Nice amount of hours per week Gratis Opportunity to bonus Nice people Good Product Training

Cons

Higher Management is constantly changing their focus in three month periods. The goals they set for each store are unrealistic and even though no stores in the area are meeting the goals, the management still pushes the store managers until they are stressed to their limits. This in turn, trickles down to the PTSAs. This wouldn't be so bad if they were focusing on sales numbers, but it's never about sales numbers. It's always about who can sell the most of one product. The company isn't very green with the way they dispose of old products and testers. They pour them down the sinks or throw them all into a trash compactor. If you aren't into giving people 'mini- facials' then you might want to reconsider applying. This company hosts several events a year that feature giving people facials, awkwardly in a directors chair. Depending on the store you work at, majority of your shifts will be spent alone for long periods of time.

Pros

Business is growing so the perception that the job is stable and it is here to stay is high. Products are excellent and competitive prices and benefits are reasonable and within market offers.

Cons

Lack of posting job opportunitites within the company. Too many long hours days especially during peak seasons. Some workers overwhelmed with responsabilities than others.

A delightful retail job to have

Pros

This is a great ecologically responsible company to work with. Pay is quite decent compare to some other beauty brands out there. Great discount on products. Pride in knowing that the products you sell are helping local farmers and women in Africa. Respectable work environment and one of the better retailers I've worked for.

Cons

Payroll is somewhat of an issue, but haven't worked at a single retail job where payroll wasn't tight. Gratis is not always given out and I think that's the company's best chance to give the employees a chance to use the products without gouging their pocketbooks. Register system and inventory control are bit behind the times compared to other retailers I've worked for, but not too hard to learn.
