Pros
Access to high profile clients and industry intel. Very helpful to build knowledge of varying industries and further understand the business world and how senior leaders operate. Get to work with some great and very intelligent people. Good annual leave allowance.
Cons
KF want to portray themselves as a fun, young, forward thinking, inclusive and diverse company. Unfortunately it could not be further from the truth. A vast majority of the management is made up of white men. I cannot think of one person in a senior management position who is BAME, and less than a handful are women. Even in the most junior positions women are not promoted while their male counterparts join the boys club and their golf days, meaning almost all of the women here are in support roles (and stay there). Most of the management have worked there for 10-20 years, they don’t like change and are stuck in the eighties. They lure intelligent candidates in with the promise of development and career progression, who then proceed to spend the next few years doing the same tasks every day with little to no investment in their development from their managers. Office politics create a toxic environment. Management are involved with, and often times instigate, office gossip alienating members of their team if they aren’t in the clique. Everything is about money. Costs will be cut on your salary, bonus, benefits etc. Anything they can take from you to keep it in their pocket they will. Clients are sold a lie that they will have four partners from across the globe working on their engagement. In reality it is an overworked associate and assistant who are being spread thin over multiple projects to keep costs down.
