      Pros

      The group I work with provides semi-annual performance reviews, an entrepreneurial environment, encourages thinking outside the box through a creative destruction mentality, and is genuinely concerned about having a good work/life balance.

      Cons

      The commute is not terrible but it is approximately a 30 minute drive from where I am located. I would prefer to be closer to home, especially with gas prices being what they are lately.

      Cons

      No bonuses or raises for first five years so get what you want at the start.

      Pros

      Private company means not driven towards quarterly earnings. Company principles actually impact the way things are done. Lots of smart people and most that are trying to do the right thing.

      Cons

      More focus on value to company, minimal concern over employee job satisfaction and fulfillment. Small company-attitude yet supporting one of largest private companies in the US. A few leaders still in leadership roles that make you wonder why they are still there.
