Very old school style of managing, rough around the edges kind of seniority, horrible pay, very little respect, tattletales gets rewarded...ALOT!! If you are talking to a friend for more than 5 minutes down the hall, and the person we called, "The Rabbit" would see you. You would be pulled into your bosses office about an hour later, and would proceed to have a discussion that socializing while during work hours is not acceptable.
I actually got in trouble for using the restroom too often. My workload was building up, and I was having stomach pains from food poisoning that past weekend. Well, long and behold, I had to use the restroom more than three times a day for about 10 minutes each time. To which, I just decided to work past, and avoid staying home. When that Friday came around, my boss pulled me into his office, closed the door, and proceeded to hound me about how I'm taking advantage of them by thinking it's ok to take extended bathroom breaks. I attempted to explain myself, but he wouldn't have it. Apparently some of the other managers thought it was a good idea to mention during the next conference. That using the restroom more than twice a day would cause them to reevaluate your work ethic.
During my time there, two of my friends were both fired for having lisps, and who were more feminist than others. Of course; this is not what they told them, but I, and another tech overheard one of the managers. Informing his assistant that they don't allow homosexuals at their place of business. We attempted to tell HR, but we were turned away by one of our friends in HR. Who said, if we kept attempting to say such allegations. That he was told that we would be fired immediately.
So yes...... I have almost nothing good to say about Koch. Except for that there are some fantastic workers there. Who are kind, sweet, hard working, moralistic, funny, and loyal individuals. That get taken advantage every day for horrendous pay, and I was lucky enough to get out of there. May God bless the souls of each individual person who works for KBS, and has to deal with their "way of life".
