We know we aren't perfect and neither are our employees, but constructive feedback like this helps our employees and our businesses improve. In regard to employee development, we encourage our employees to take ownership in their career with the help of many resources internally. We believe this approach creates opportunities for each of us to take individual ownership in advancing our careers, as opposed to relying on predetermined career paths or waiting for seniority.

      Good Company, Good Culture

      Culture is good. One of the 10 principles the company lives by is fulfillment, meaning your supervisor cares about your happiness at work. Company tends to focus on the right things.

      Cons

      Career development isn't great. Pay over time doesn't seem to keep up with the market.

      Pros

      Pay is better than average for Kansas; Some very nice co-workers; Cafe food is great; Good volunteer opportunities. MBM principles are a fantastic concept. Charles Koch is one of the nicest and most humble people I've ever talked with!

      Cons

      Fired me for taking off work for my children being abducted. Not kidding! They teach awesome MBM, yet in my department, nobody was allowed to use it! Discouraged from talking to your neighbor even when you're new. Encouraged to only use the computer to answer any questions. Discouraged from contacting or talking to other management about anything. In my department, decision rights were not allowed. You are to know your "station" and keep your conversation to only the people who are within it.
