Pros

More relaxed than Walmart.....nice co-workers....nice customers

Cons

I was happy to be hired for seasonal help and during that time received up to 38 hours a week at $7.25 an hour, a non-liveable wage in today's economy. When I was given fulltime status I expected a small raise as was my previous experience in jobs, but instead have been told by several associates and even the HR person that they have not received raises in 5-8 years. Only people making any liveable money are assistant mgrs and store manager. They do hand out titles but without more pay. Essentially everyone on the floor does the job of 3-4. However, the cashiers just cashier. Most associates have to cashier when needed, receive and load freight onto floats, open merchandise from boxes, pull ads, place ads, print ads, wait on customers, and assist in any special projects from management. I rarely have any time to give customers special attention or to keep my area neat due to "freight days" and being called up to cashier whenever someone calls out sick ( a lot). Training is a joke...some very outdated videos and a tour of store. Instead of a thorough week of learning how to use an RMU, display usage and ad and sign printing, you learn as you go. I have been there 7 months and still do not understand the flow of inventory or ordering. In other words one is given a part of the puzzle without seeing the entire picture. Also, health safety is NOT a priority as they would have you believe. Bathrooms are usually dirty, break room is disgusting, cashiers floor mats are thread bare, and there was no safety guidelines in handling a cutter or lifting. From what I see, loss prevention jumps in whenever a visit from district is in the future, but otherwise invisible. Morale is very low with management expecting more and more without giving back.

Pros

Discount. Store is over priced, so discount on clearance is best of the Pros. A job if you need one REALLY bad.

Cons

Low wages. Low employee morale. Not all brands of electronics are carried there. Have to push Rewards card.
