Pros

The company has recently gotten smaller after alot of downsizing. Corporate feels smaller too but seem to micromanage on the operational side. Great people make up the company, unfortunately it only takes a few up top to ruin it.

Cons

Not enough hours for staffing.

Pros

Opportunities for promotion and great people to work with.

Cons

Pay is abysmal. Stores are closing all over the United States as Sears Holding continues to die a slow death. There were absolutely no raises during the years I worked here. Paid vacation and benefits were offered. However, the health insurance was too expensive to buy. I worked 48 hours per week, including evenings and weekends. No bonuses. I lost my job after a store closing. I was called in for a phone conference, which is nothing unusual and they terminated several of us over the phone. I was out the door with no warning, although upper management all know about it. Was given a four week severance package.
