Pros

Benefits, PTO, childcare discounts Working for a corporate facility who has been in business for years. Recognized for education first and care. Not just a daycare center. Naeyc accredited

Cons

Nepotism. Management is poor. Unavailable for any concerns. We have fewer supplies than needed to have to implement our curriculum. Some staff do not meet minimum educational requirements for our center. Staff is not always professional, it is like a hallway in high school at times. Some teacher behavior that warrants termination in most environments, is allowed here. If you're a friend of management you have the right to critique teachers and their practices without recourse.'

Pros

Some DMs actually get it and come from ECE background. Handful of teachers have the passion and dedication to children and families. Childcare benefit is great for us working parents. Great camaraderie with most colleagues.

Cons

KCE has become so convoluted in making numbers and labor quotas. That's what happens when you become corporate, I guess. Former CCLC programs and leaders actually seemed to care for children, families and teachers. Not anymore. Leadership is not supported at all. At least parents and teachers have a voice in the engagement surveys. What about engagement surveys for directors and DMs to rate higher up (RVPs)? Most staff, from management to staff, are overworked and underpaid. It's likely that everyone is burnt out or will get there. New policies and initiatives are delivered through conference calls for directors. DMs are required to "train" directors, when they haven't even been given appropriate, in-depth training. All centers are becoming cookie-cutter models.

Pros

You were able to wear jeans, and knowing you were helping the children.

Cons

The director talks about the kids, staff and parents. Does not care about the staff just numbers, you never leave on time ,I worked 630 to 330 but never got out at on time, was told that I had to stay no matter what. You have no support from management unless you are their favorite,
