During my interview, Champions aftercare was described as a fun, play-based program where kids could relax, play games, and be actively engaged. That was not my experience.
The environment was very rigid, with little interaction or play. Most of the time was spent managing tired kindergarteners by keeping them in line. I was also blamed when a child stepped out of line, despite being sent to pick up students with a brand-new teacher who barely spoke English and while we were out of ratio.
I wish expectations and working conditions had been communicated more clearly from the beginning so I could have made an informed decision.
