Pros
Kinder Care has a very supportive staff and management. I feel I received great training when I started and was well informed about procedure and expectations. Planning the curriculum is quite easy and you have access to a plethora of supplies. A job at Kinder Care is a great opportunity for students studying education, or graduates waiting to get their teaching licence. Working for Kinder Care gives you a lot of classroom experience that you can carry over into your next teaching job.
Cons
The center itself was great, the staff and management team were very supportive. However because Kinder Care is part of the KU corporation there were every changing corporate expectations that were not practical to apply in the classroom. More often than not we were understaffed, and out of ratio in the mornings because of it. Because of under staffing I was often left in a classroom with 20 students and no co teacher and no one was available to step in to help. Many of the policies you had to adhere by in theory were great but did not work in a classroom. Like I stated in the pros section. It is a great job for someone who wants more experience in the classroom but in no way is it a career choice.
