Pay was insultingly low

Pros

- The advanced system they purchased from the system provider was good and extended enough to help with my daily work.

Cons

- Pay was insultingly low. The partners saved every single penny refusing to increase pay for 2-3 years despite good performance review. In other words, what you contributed to the firm was not worth an extra penny. Before I accepted the offer and started with the firm, they even wanted to lower my pay by £150/month in order to meet their save-every-single-penny needs. To save cost, they even suggested folding some client-bound legal documents in a smaller cheaper envelop than a big one that would fit documents unfolded. Was that a way of showing professionalism of the firm? - Staff were impolite and rude. - Hierarchy did exist. The partners insulted supporting staff from time to time.
