Pros

There are a lot of new, interesting projects happening across Kantar which is great to learn new things. Kantar is positioned to become a really attractive tech company. It has a lot of interesting problems it can solve and a large list of loyal, happy customers.

Cons

Business teams have too much ownership over projects and their deadlines. Teams struggle to appease business expectations without compromising architectural/platform vision which hinders project maturity from a technical standpoint. In other words, good ideas turn into technical debt quite frequently. Completely absent career progression.

Pros

Friendly and supportive colleagues who are generally willing to help one another. Compensation is competitive, and the company offers a comprehensive benefits package, including paid annual leave, birthday leave, mental health days, and half-day leave during major festive occasions (e.g. CNY eve, Raya eve, Christmas eve). Additional benefits include parking claims (up to RM200), as well as medical, dental, and optical coverage. The office location is convenient, with easy access to shops and amenities due to its proximity to a mall.

Cons

Long hours and consistently heavy workloads. When employees leave, roles are often not backfilled, leaving remaining staff to manage the workload of two to three people while being measured against the same KPIs. A significant amount of time is spent in training sessions and town halls, which can be difficult to manage alongside existing workload pressures. Annual leave and public holidays are frequently used to catch up on work that cannot be completed during normal working hours.
