      A complete mess as faculty employer.

      The people are generally friendly and the setting is good for raising a young family.

      Cons

      An extreme lack of professionalism. Central administration refuses to keep up on major problems in departments, citing "decentralized" government. Many dysfunctional departments. Upper administration only interested in financial gain, with little interest in the actual education occurring. Kansas is an incredibly backward state to work in.
