Great company overall

Pros

Many opportunities for career advancements. Large company which can allow you to move internationally or to different industries. Work with great colleagues who will become your close friends.

Cons

Longer than average hours. Work is demanding and the pressure is high at times. The pay is lower than what you would get if you leave the firm. On the other hand, you can use the firm as a platform and always be able to find a better paying 9-5 job if that's for you.

Never Join KPMG global services - you can't switch companies

Pros

Less / no work load.

Cons

It was a mistake to join KPMG GLOBAL SERVICES. You won't believe the management has set up an agreement with other competitor big 4 firms which states that a KGS employee should not be hired- the reason being below the poverty line pay due to which there is high attrition rate across all department. I can guarantee you that KGS will pay 2 Lakh less than the industry standards. Secondly senior management is concerned only to track the employee movement & is given zero preference for work experience, only they are concerned is put employee on contract by sending them to foreign countries for few weeks or by putting them in professional qualifications trap- the best way they found to retain employee with very very low pay scale.

Pros

Brand Name (KGS is a subsidiary of KPMG) Managers and Senior Managers don't have a seperate cabin

Cons

Policies in KGS are not transparent No or very minimal travel opportunities Typical BPO setup Repetitive and monotonous work Incompetent senior staff (particularly senior managers) No or very minimal client interaction Less chance for career growth Senior managers are busy tracking people movement Focus is more on admin issues rather than work Office politics created by some employees Fancy names of departments like Management Consulting which is contrast to the work done here
