Pros

Flexible working times and accommodating senior management. A variety of work in different industries and excellent career opportunities. Can be very challenging at time but efforts are never overlooked. A strong sense of team including team functions and informal beers.

Cons

Unreasonable turnaround times due to poor client management. The risk management processes are very convoluted and drawn out taking far too much time to complete. Support staff seem to work against you than with you by nagging about procedures and rules when it was clear they were hired to alleviate those tasks from client facing staff.

Pros

You do get a great experience of being able to audit various large international firms. In addition, from a job straight from college, you learn a great aspect of financial accounting and the different transactions that occur. For example, in public accounting, you learn a typical company's fixed assets, accounts receivable, accounts payables, fixed assets, inventory, cash, pensions or 401K plans, etc.

Cons

You can work many hours and weekends without even a thanks from management. It appears that the lower levels can be blamed for management's mistakes in budgeting and other matters.
