Pros

Wonderful staff, flexible working hours, no micro management culture. Cance to travel if wanted. Ff your role involves technology you will get a chance to play with the latest and greatest tools. Training and benifits are good (better then most companies)

Cons

The senior directorship (IT) is out of touch with every day issues - There is a reorg every year. Little attention is given to internal investment. Waste (people and money) is part of the culture. Much needed projects are put on hold or cancelled in favor of projects to make certain people look good in there careers.

Pros

The best reason to work for KPMG is the name you get to put on your resume. You also get exposure to all aspects of accounting and you really learn alot about how companies work and financial reporting. You get tremendous exposure to upper management at the clients. They give five weeks vacation and are flexible with the work arrangements outside of busy season.

Cons

The firm really enjoys having face time. You live at the clients during the year end audit, no matter what. It kills your morale and makes you question what you are doing with your life. Its the primary reason people quit.

Pros

This industry is always evolving and makes for an interesting ride! There is a lot of growth opportunities if you are willing to carry the load, but it the end it will be very worth it and rewarding.

Cons

In my case, you never know when that next bid for a big proposal is going to come down the line. You'll need to be prepared to work a few extra nights, but it there is a win then it was all worth it.
