Pros

Regular contract, 2 weeks holidays, basic training when you start for sale proposes and shop duties. Weekends shfits paid more.

Cons

No respect for the employees as human beings. Nasty managers , nasty environment . Promotions decisions made by connections not for your skills. Higher training and benefits only for managers and assistant manager, slow changes to grow as makeup artist. They had no idea what a professional make-up artist is, it's all about selling.

Pros

Fast paced if you are in a busy store

Cons

Zero work life balance. No perks or bonus. Staff discount is quite petty. Senior management is constantly pressurising stores for performance but with no training whatsoever. Staff is expected to sell to customers from day 1 in store with no previous experience. Unrealistic kpi's that no store can keep up with. No wonder the staff turnover is so high in the UK.
