Pros

Working as a station supervisor at a larger scale operation can be a great way to build your career for advancement. Skills attained as a supervisor will vary depending on the size of the station and the requirements of the leadership. Exciting and fast paced job that changes daily.

Cons

Working at a smaller station will require more hours and more responsibility. Supervisors will replace Station Managers on a dregular basis. Overtime is not paid out in a typical manner, shares are offered in place with a 3 year vesting. Advancing your career typically means moving to a large city.

Pros

Remote work opportunity, limited monitoring, flexible schedule options, generous 401k plan, generous Health Savings Account, Flight Benefits, and Great Health, Dental, and additional insurance benefits. The company celebrates transparency and really has an open door policy. It's okay to express dissent and know that it won't be held against you. The IT and Technology department do a fantastic job. I didn't appreciate it until I went to work for another airline.

Cons

Annual increases are small. Everything is determined by seniority and it's hard to get seniority because there are so many people who have been there for 23 years. Mandatory Code reds mean you have to work...even on your day off if there is high call volume. The Reservations department is filled with a whole lot of people who want flight benefits, but don't want to work. So everyone is continually trying to get out of working and unload shifts. You're not allowed to submit same day PTO if you have an emergency arise.
